Shelby American has just revealed a gorgeous 50th Anniversary Cobra Daytona Coupe celebrating the carmaker’s 1965 FIA World Championship. Scheduled for a limited edition run of just 50 units, the anniversary Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is meant to broaden the availability of the otherwise coveted line of 6 1960’s models, which are nearly impossible to see first-hand, let alone own. Therefore, the next best thing is this anniversary edition, built with the original blueprints and measurements, with matching serial numbers, leaf spring suspension, tube chassis, and even a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Each car will also come with premium black leather inside, special badging, and enough space for an aluminum block 2809cc 4.7-liter V8 engine (sold separately). Yes–you read that correctly: owning one of these will put your back $349,995, just for the body. Shelby is accepting deposits now on a first-come, first-served basis.
