The dust hasn't even settled from the first trip to the box office this year, but Universal Pictures has just announced their plans for a Jurassic World sequel set for 2018. Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly will be back to pen the script for the new film while Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow will act as executive producers, but the lucky person to sit in the director's seat has still yet to be determined. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas will also be returning to their roles, although it looks like Pratt's Triumph Scrambler will have to be replaced. In other words, the $1.52 billion in gross ticket sales was just a starting point for the new franchise.
