Along with its upscale cousin, the Moto X Pure Edition, Motorola has unveiled the third generation of its Moto G phone, a favorite among consumers and critics alike in the budget category. The first major improvement out of the gate is LTE, as well as water resistance that allows the device to survive being submerged 3 feet underwater for 30 minutes. There's a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, a 5-inch 720P display, and either 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, or 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The 13MP camera is borrowed from the Nexus 6, there's a larger 2,470 mAh battery, and now you can customize the Moto G with Moto Maker. Starting at $179.99, the new Moto G is available now directly from Motorola.
