Montreal's Dime has teamed up with Vans on a collaborative take on the Slip-On Pro. The joint venture is meant to fill a void in the current footwear marketplace, featuring a sneaker that capitalizes on an "untapped opportunity" that Vans describes as sneaker "fetishists." Notwithstanding the dubious proposition, the resulting product is simple and clean, showcasing a black and white design and various performance benefits: UltraCush HD footbeds, DURACAP reinforcements and Pro Vulc Lite construction. A finishing touch sees Vans' translucent waffle outsole revealing the Dime logo underneath. The kicks are to launch exclusively at Dime's pop-up shop, running from August 8 through 11 and located at 3656 Boulevard St-Laurent in Montreal's Plateau neighborhood. Stay tuned for word on a wider release.
