With a month or so of summer left, Zenith is rolling out three more rare and premium aviator watches to add to their already-strong Pilot collection. The first of the trio is this Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special watch, sporting a generous 45mm bronze case that accentuates the overall vintage appeal of the entire timepiece. Tucked inside the 100m water-resistance case with its solid titanium case-back is an automatic Zenith Elite Calibre 679 movement with a 50 hour power reserve. On the dial, all the original attributes of a pilot's watch are there, including oversized luminescent Arabic numerals, Super-LumiNova glow accents, and a large ratcheted crown allowing for adjustments with gloved hands. The timepiece is then finished with an etching of Louis Blériot’s plane on the back adorned with the Zenith Flying Instruments logo and a rubber-lined Nubuck strap. Look for this and the other two Zenith Extra Special watches to be releasing in the weeks to come. Until then learn more at the Zenith online site.
