Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Concussion, a film that's sure to raise the hackles of Roger Goodell and the NFL. Based on a true story, Concussion stars Will Smith as Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic pathologist and neuropathologist who originally made the link between chronic traumatic encephalopathy and football players who suffered head trauma. The Nigerian-born doctor first made the discovery after performing an autopsy on Mike Webster of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and subsequently took on the NFL with the help of fellow doctors portrayed by Albert Brooks and Alec Baldwin. Luke Wilson is improbably tapped to take on the role of Roger Goodell. Directed by Peter Landesman, Concussion hits theaters December 25th.
