Google Unveils New Logo

Just weeks after announcing a corporate restructuring, Google today unveils a new logo, representing the first major rebranding in 16 years. The color scheme of the old trademark remains, but the serif typeface is ditched in favor of a custom streamlined one, called Product Sans and developed by Google itself. Not only does the new typeface more closely resemble the logo for Google's new holding company (Alphabet), but it shrinks down with better legibility than its serif predecessor.
