Givenchy Spring/Summer 2016 Collection | Runway Show
For Givenchy‘s Spring/Summer 2016 runway show at New York Fashion Week, designer Riccardo Tisci fortified the women’s presentation with the surprirse addition of 20 new men’s looks, all finished in a sleek, monochromatic aesthetic. The procession opened with a sharply tailored white top coat with peaked lapels, followed by an array of all black and black-and-white ensembles, each displaying Tisci’s restraint and tailoring abilities. Lace and mesh detailing on shirts and jackets offered a soft contrast to the collection’s sharp lines, delivering an appealing dualism to the single-minded color palette.
