A power tool manufacturer based in Taiwan, Thunder Power is poised to make noise in the electric car market. At this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the company debuted the Thunder Power Sedan, designed by the Italian coachbuilder Zagato, famous for its work with Aston Martin. The rear-drive Thunder Power has a 404-mile range on a full charge, thanks to a 125 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Driver can choose between 308-bhp or 430-bhp versions, with the latter boasting a 0-62 mph sprint time of less than five seconds and a top speed rated at 155 mph. A full charge takes six hours, or just one hour in the fast charging mode. The Thunder Power Sedan is slated to hit the European market in 2017, before heading to China in 2018, and later, the U.S.
