Amazon Unveils New Fire TV With Voice Command and 4K Video Support

On the heels of last week's announcement of the new Apple TV, Amazon has upped the stakes with the unveiling of the revamped Fire TV. Still commanding a $100 price point, the new set-top box supports 4K Ultra HD video (a claim Apple can't match) and features 64-bit quad-core processor and a GPU that's twice as fast. There's also Alexa, the voice-activated virtual assistant originally introduced through Amazon's Echo smart speaker. Amazon also announced a $140 gaming of the new Fire TV, which ships with a gaming controller and games, along with voice controls on the company's popular Fire Stick. Go to Amazon for more info, and look for the new products to launch October 5th.
