Originally previewed here over a year ago, the Wison X Connected Basketball is now available for purchase. Designed to help players further develop their shooting skills, the ball is embedded with a small sensor, which connects to an app on the player's phone. Through the the proprietary Make/Miss Technology developed by Wilson and the analytics company SportIQ, the ball knows when a player makes or misses a shot, and it also tracks every shot that the player takes, meaning shooting performance can be traced over a period of time. Additionally, the Wilson X app features four modes that focus on both pure shooting drills and game-like experiences. Buzzer Beater, for example, challenges a player under game-winning countdown pressure. Retailing for $200, the ball can be purchased directly from Wilson.
