After a cursory unveiling, we get a detailed look at the upcoming collaboration between KITH and High Snobiety on a duo of PUMA silhouettes updated by Ronnie Fieg. The collection, dubbed “A Tale of Two Cities,” gives the nod to the New York and Berlin roots of High Snobiety, now celebrating its 10th anniversary. First up is the RF Blaze of Glory, featuring a USA-themed blue, red and white design, accented with a quilted upper and co-branded forefoot straps and resting on a speckled Trinomic midsole. Its Euro-influenced counterpart is the RF698S, carrying a premium nubuck quilted upper and a mesh-neoprene inner-sock. The deconstructed upper is finished with 3M German flag inserts on the medial form stripes and co-branded tongue patches, and a moto-deboss pattern on the heel wrap. Each pair is packaged in a custom box displaying the graphics of each trainer’s respective country, and the boxes also effectively double as standing magazine holders. They’ll be ideal for a special KITH-edition of High Snobiety’s special 10th Anniversary Issue, accompanying in-store purchases of the sneakers.
Retailing for $160 per pair, the collaboration launches Friday, September 25th, at both KITH stores and online, as well as Soto Berlin.
