Kanye West has been called many things in recent years, and like any self-respecting provocateur, he gave fans and critics even more to talk about by announcing a presidential run for 2020. He disclosed his political ambitions during his acceptance speech for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award during the 2015 MTV VMA in August, and in the event you were skeptical about his sincerity, he confirmed he's "definitely" planning to run in 2020. In a new interview with Vanity Fair, he confessed, "I sit in clubs and I'm like, Wow, I've got five years before I go and run for office and I've got a lot of research to do, I've got a lot of growing up to do."

The interview took place just hours after the Yeezy Season 2 show at NYFW, and West discussed his second collection at length. He denied any sort of larger political statement with the color-coded presentation ("It had nothing to do with race") and neatly summed up the distinctive silhouettes ("I think people just wear yoga pants and sweatshirts, and I wanted to make the most beautiful version of that possible").
