On the cusp of the 2015 – 2016 NBA season, Jordan Brand unveils the latest signature model for Chris Paul, the Jordan CP3.IX. The shoe boasts a number of performance-driven technologies to meet the demands of Paul’s aggressive style of play. There’s an innovative web-lacing system for lateral support and 360-degree lockdown, supporting a lightweight upper built with composite mesh material and strategically placed foam. Inside, a full-length, breathable internal bootie delivers a snug, one-to-one fit. Superior cushioning comes from a nine-chamber Zoom Air unit in the forefoot, while outrigger enhancements to the sole provide lateral stability during sharp cuts, and a rubber-wrapped medial side provides added traction and control. Special design notes include the Chinese character for “family” inscribed on the outsole, as well as a chevron symbol on the sole to honor Paul’s late grandfather. The Jordan CP3.IX will release in introductory Yellow Dragon and Emerald colorways in China on October 1. Retailing for $130, the Emerald colorway will also release in North America on October 1, followed by a general global release on November 1.
