Microsoft has gone back to the drawing board to improve the Microsoft Band, which, like last year’s version, can be integrated with the company’s cloud-based Health platform, which collects your data and offers pertinent insights. The improvements are both external and internal. It now has a curved screen protected under Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and an array of sensors, including a new barometer, golf swing tracker, deeper Cortana integration and the ability to sort out your body’s VO2 max, the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during exercise. They join the previously available built-in GPS, sleep tracking, calorie counting and notifications. Priced at $250, the Microsoft Band 2 is available for pre-order here, with delivery set for October 30th.
