After taking the backroad by storm last year, Ariel Motor ups the ante with the reveal of a supercharged version of their Nomad off-road buggy. When it was first introduced, its Honda-sourced VTEC 2.4-liter engine produced about 235 HP and 221 lb/ft of torque for a top speed of 136 mph, which are very respectable numbers for a dirt-loving four-wheeler with a set of chunky tires on a long-travel suspension. Now, "Atom's mucky brother" gets even more evil with the addition of a supercharger that pushes up output to 290 HP and 251 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough umph to reach 60mph in 3.4 seconds. With all that power, of course, comes a bigger price tag, upping the price £6,000 from £30,000, but delivery of previous models has already begun meaning you only need to wait 9 months for yours. Mud, as usual, is free of charge. Reach out to Ariel to learn more.
