Ronnie Fieg has teamed up with premier Italian retailer Slam Jam on a project centering around the Diadora V7000. Ronnie’s version of the classic runner necessitates a name change, resulting in the Diadora RF7000. The shoe is transformed with the addition of unique asymmetrical leather toe overlays, while the color palette is a deviation of the Italian national flag, so that green, white and red are replaced by olive, off-white, and burgundy. The mix of premium materials include pebbled nubuck, full grain leather and pigskin suede, as well as cow leather on the liner and gum rubber outsoles. Slam Jam, meanwhile, redesigns the V7000 with inspiration from the US Navy. Consequently, a navy blue tonal color palette is used on a nylon vamp with overlays made from a combination of pigskin suede and full grain leather, and the heel panel and woven tongue label are branded in Navy-inspired stenciling. A translucent blue outsole completes the look. Both pairs will be available at 11 a.m. EDT this Friday through both KITH stores, as well as Slam Jam Socialism and KITH’s online store.
