The Supercharged Chevrolet 1970 Camaro RS Hits SEMA
Of course you can teach an old dog new tricks, but why go through all that trouble when you can just bolt on a supercharger and drop in a Corvette engine? Among all the concepts on display in SEMA, Chevrolet introduced a supercharged 1970 Camaro RS, boasting the brand's new LT4 crate engine. Old meets new with this model, which sees modern underpinnings wrapped in a beautiful classic body, taking the Corvette Z06 powerplant and dropping it into a '70 Camaro RS. When all is said and done, the Chevrolet 1970 Camaro RS with its V8 6.2-liter supercharged engine pumps out 650HP a with 650 lb-ft of torque, harnessed with a T-56 Super Magnum six-speed manual trans. A set of shiney 19-inch alloy wheels, special instrument panel, a third gen Camaro interior, and a Hyper Blue Metallic exterior paint finish the effect while LED lamps and a six-point roll cage are nice touches. Now here's the bad news: this was just a one-off, but don't let that stop you from continuing the preview below.
