As kids, future basketball stars LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant envisioned their athletic careers using childhood toys to fuel their imagination. Those toys are the inspiration for Nike‘s three-pack shoe collection for kids, featuring the LeBron 13, KD8 and Kobe X. The LeBron 13 “Mini Hoop” pays tribute to the adjustable hoop set that the future king would use to hone his skills; the KD8 “Money Ball” gives the nod to miniature-car Penny Racers that Durant would use to play makeshift basketball games; and the Kobe X “Hero” pays homage to the Mamba’s animated idol, He-Man. The Kobe X “Hero” is the first shoe out of the gates, hitting stores November 11. The KD8 “Money Ball” follows on November 18, then the LeBron 13 “Mini Hoop” on November 25.
