PUMA‘s “Adventurer” pack is inspired by the late ’90s and early 2000s, a period when resourceful European sneakerheads traveled to the United States to shop rare footwear that was unavailable in their local markets. Returning home and selling these exclusives would lay the foundation for legitimate retail operations, with the first two installments of the PUMA “Adventurer” pack focusing on retailers Sneakernstuff and Solebox. This latest release, made in collaboration with Aberdeen-based Hanon, uses the XT2+ and XS850 silhouettes, both of which lose their TPU components while taking on premium builds. The suede XT2 has a green and orange colorway contrasting the winter gloom of Scotland and the sunshine warmth of California (where the Hanon founders paid a visit during the early ’90s), while the XS850 references Hanon’s skate beginnings, featuring a nubuck upper offset by a “Flame n’ Bones” multi-print on the collar lining and footbed. The Hanon x PUMA “Adventurer” Pack launches at Hanon on November 14, followed by a release through select PUMA retailers on November 21.
