Yamaha is decidedly on a roll. Just look at its recently unveiled MT-10, a thoroughly modern sportbike that eschews the retro styling that's so on trend at the moment. Speaking of which, the new 2016 XSR900 is full of that aforementioned retro flavor, but make no mistake, this is a modern performance street bike. It uses the speedy inline three-cylinder engine found on the FZ-09 naked sportbike and FJ-09 middleweight sport tourer, as well as its six-speed gearbox. Yamaha has also equipped the XSR900 with selectable traction control and an assist/slipper clutch. It'll be available in Spring 2016, in both Matte Gray and 60th Anniversary Yellow editions. Pricing to be announced.
