The word "innovation" is thrown around quite a bit these days, but this Spiber x The North Face Moon Parka is truly next level stuff. Long considered the toughest material in the world - pound for pound - spider webbing has long been an object of research. Now, The North Face has teamed up with Japan's Spiber to utilize their own bioengineered form of spider silk created from a fiber taken from bioengineered bacteria, which has been used to advance the strength of a host of products. Based on the Antarctic Parka, this Spiber x The North Face Moon Parka creates a tailor-made look with a feel similar to real silk. Right now, the jacket is still in testing, but the two brands look put it into wide production early next year. Learn and see plenty more below.
