Spanish custom shop Bottpower has unveiled a radical re-imagining of the Buell XB-series, the BOTT CX1 cafe racer, which takes on a futuristic aesthetic mixed with retro appeal. The unique look is achieved through the excision of Buell’s most dominant feature, the twin spar fuel-carrying frame, so that the components now hang off a steel backbone that uses the engine as a stressed member. And with the original frame absent, the fuel is stored in a primary fuel tank, along with two auxiliary tanks, one of which houses the fuel pump. Additional details, including titanium headers, a Torque Hammer silencer and remap of the ECU, along with a rotated throttle body and side-mounted intake with a K&N filter, now generate 95HP to the back wheel. It's all contained in a package that weighs 20kg less than stock. Check out more looks in the following pages.
