With Kobe Bryant's final season in the NBA acting as something of a farewell tour, critics and basketball fans are weighing in on the Mamba's legacy, but Champs Sports is focusing on an unexpected angle: namely, how the Mamba's "black hat" persona has affected the way his shoe line is perceived. Sales of his shoes totaled $105 million last year (according to Forbes), which seems impressive until you consider how his label mates fared during the same period: LeBron James' shoes raked in $340 million and Kevin Durant amassed a $195 million haul. The numbers, however, don't tell the full story, and the argument can be made that Kobe's sneaker line is underappreciated and underrated.
