With the glitz and glamour of the NAIAS behind us, now’s the time where the rubber hits the road, including details surrounding the upcoming release of the 2016 MINI Convertible and the MINI John Cooper Works Convertible. The launch of the latter model sees the fastest, most powerful convertible the brand has ever built, working with BMW Group engines to power the premium four-seat, soft-top convertible with a price only very slightly higher than that of the 2015 model. Like previous MINI models, both are made for individualization, each with a choice of 11 exterior colors, premium seating options, and a standard MINI Connected infotainment system with a 8.8-inch display. Both models will hit beginning March 2016 with the John Cooper powered with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo and 228 HP.
