PUMA is set to release a collection with the British fashion label McQ, featuring a merging of the latter's design heritage with some of PUMA's most iconic styles. The design inspiration is derived from extreme sports and protective structures, fused with technical executions from PUMA's '90s running archive. The result is a contrast of textures and finishes, with cork surfaces combined with shiny and metallic finishes, alongside the softness of premium leather and nubuck. Colors, meanwhile, have a retro-futuristic feel, with primary hues complemented with iridescent accents. Standout pieces include the Cell Mid, featuring pony skin, a functional elastic strap and a unique leather insock, fastened with a plastic buckle. There's also the McQ Tech Runner Sandal, featuring a seasonal cut-out silhouette, translucent TPU overlay, open windows and a new lightweight bio construction, and the McQ Brace Lo Femme, a premium "cupsole" style with performance inspired construction. The collection drops through premium global retailers on February 6.
