Maserati has unveiled its first ever sport-utility vehicle, the Levante, ahead of its official debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Maserati says the vehicle will feature both gasoline and diesel engines, with early reports indicating a 3.0-liter V6 under the hood, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and featuring outputs of 350 horsepower and 430 horsepower. In terms of style, the Levante maintains exterior cues that recall its Ghibli and Quattroporte counterparts, including the grille, curved fenders, headlight shape and taillight design. The first units are already being assembled in Turin and will hit the European market this Spring, followed by global sales later in the year.
