adidas Originals introduces the Marathon Series, inspired by iconic Three-Stripe silhouettes created during pivotal sports moments around the world. The inaugural release from the series is the Tokyo EQT Support 93. The shoe is inspired by the Tokyo 64, a model specifically built for Robert Lee Hayes, an American athlete who dominated the 100m competition during the 1964 Tokyo summer games. A distinct suede blue upper, inspired by the original design, features gold accents and the national flag of Japan on the heel. Retailing for $150, the kicks hit select adidas Originals retailers and online beginning February 27. The Tokyo EQT Support 93 is showcased in the gallery below, featuring a visual tour of the Tokyo marathon route, with Japanese streetwear influencer Shigeyuki Kunii from mita sneakers acting as the model. The images are captured by photographer Brock Fetch.
