14 months in the making, the Wintergartan Marble Machine is an impossibly complex contraption that makes music using a kick drum, bass and vibraphone, along with a hand crank and 2,000 marbles. Swedish musician Martin Molin is the man responsible for the unique music box. He conceived and built the project himself, starting with 3D software and an 80cm cube on which the machine was built. The Wintergartan is programmable, featuring a central wheel that acts as a 32 bar loop. See it in action in the video below.
