Last week, comedian Jerry Seinfeld sold a portion of his sizable Porsche collection through the Amelia Island Auction in Florida. A total of 15 Porsches (and two Volkswagens) changed hands, bringing in a cool $22 million. The highest-grossing car took the form of a 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder, which ultimately attracted a winning bid for $5.3 million. On the other end, a non-drivable 2000 Porsche Carrera GT prototype failed to draw the minimum and didn't sell. Additionally, a 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder underperformed, selling for for $3 million against a projected $5M to $7M price range.
