This Tuned Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street Boasts 420 Horsepower
The most powerful Polo for the public roads gets a boost
The aftermarket specialists at Wimmer Rennsporttechnik have almost doubled the output of Volkswagen's already powerful Polo R WRC Street, originally launched in 2012. That car had a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, good for 220 horsepower. Thanks to the German tuner, the car now generates 420 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, thanks to an upgraded turbocharger, a modified high-pressure pump and a custom stainless steel sports exhaust system. Optional upgrades include 17-inch OZ wheels, a KW coilover suspension and a K&N air filter.
