Apple Upgrades MacBook With New Processors, Longer Battery Life and a Rose Gold Finish

Today finds Apple releasing an updated 12-inch Retina MacBook, now offered in the same colors as the rest of its iOS devices: Space Grey, Silver, Gold, and for the first time on a Mac, Rose Gold.  Internally, there are sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and faster 1866 MHz memory. Additionally, new Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25 percent faster graphics performance than the previous generation. The upgrades mean that the new MacBook delivers an extra hour of battery life, good for 11 hours of iTunes movie playback and 10 hours of wireless web browsing. The MacBook comes in two configurations: a $1299 Retina MacBook with a 1.1 GHz processor, 8 GB of memory and 256 GB storage, and a more expensive $1599 version with a faster processor and 512 GB of flash memory.
