Nike and Jordan Brand bring together two sports icons -- Michael Jordan and Neymar Jr. -- for an upcoming collaboration that features exclusive footwear and apparel. Neymar Jr., who grew up a fan of both the man and the brand, will be honored with his own Jordan 5 Low, highlighted by a reflective upper and "Neymar" stitched on the inside of the tongue. He's also the first Nike Soccer athlete to have a performance product with Jumpman branding on his performance product.
The NJR x Jordan Hypervenom football boot takes inspiration from the Jordan 5, Neymar Jr.'s favorite Jordan model, with the 5's reflective tongue reinterpreted as a bold reflective Swoosh. Jordan's iconic cement print appears on the soleplate of the Hypervenom, along with the Jumpan logo underfoot. The initials of Neymar Jr.'s son ("DL") are printed on the laces, as does the icon of the Brasil flag. Additional details include Neymar Jr.'s Brasil number, 10, embroidered on the lateral side of the left boot and the number 23 on the right boot. Finally, the sockliner and packaging feature a lock-up of Jordan and Neymar's logos, while the boot heel is finished with the Jumpman icon.
In addition to the Hypervenom and Jordan 5, the NJR x Jordan collection includes apparel and a football training shoe.
Look for Neymar Jr. to debut the NJR x Jordan Hypervenom on-pitch this August. The collection at large is available starting today via the Nike Football App and June 3 on Nike.com.
