At E3, Sony formally announced the launch date for PlayStation VR, developed with gamers in mind and featuring plug-and-play functionality and an expansive 5.7-inch OLED 1080p display, running at up to 120 frames per second. Retailing for $399, the PlayStation VR Headset will be available beginning October 13.
Notable game titles are featured in the early PlayStation VR lineup, including a Final Fantasy XV VR Experience and a Star Wars: Battlefront game. There's also a Batman game, Arkham VR, on the way, but the biggest reveal takes the form of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard, which is set to launch in January 2017.
