In addition to the metallic sheen of the signature Swoosh, the detail that gives the 1997 Nike Spiridon its unique look is the bulky midsole, etched with arcing lines that resemble a topographical map. That distinctive midsole now finds its way onto a hybrid silhouette dubbed the Nike Zoom Mercurial X1 Flyknit. The shoe sports a ribbed Flyknit upper in tonal white, mounted on the Spiridon's caged Zoom Air cushioning. A reinforced grey leather heel panel rounds out the details. Retailing for $200, the kicks are available now through select Nike retailers, including Sneaker Politics.
