adidas Originals by White Mountaineering took to the runways in Paris this past weekend to showcase their latest Spring/Summer 2016 collection. The collection blends adidas' iconic heritage and Yosuke Aizawa's creativity and technical skills, resulting in pieces that celebrate classic adidas Originals styles through a fashion forward prism. The brand's trademark three stripes were reinterpreted as a triangle to represent a mountain to go with the "urban outerwear" theme of apparel, constructed with Gore-tex, Primeknit, reflective 3 stripes, and other technical fabrics to unite form and function.
New footwear was also introduced, including the NMD_R2, the EQT Support Future, and the NMD City Trail, each offering an avant garde counterpoint to the otherwise vintage-inspired collection. The Campus 80 is also returning with the Colour in colorways that bring together the adidas Originals and White Mountaineering logos.
Both the footwear and the apparel from the adidas Originals by White Mountaineering SS17 collection will be launching beginning in January 2017.
