Jordan Brand has unveiled the latest chapter in its canonical line, the Air Jordan 31. True to its legacy, the shoe balances game-time performance and eye-catching style. The former is achieved through a combination Flyweave and leather upper with low-profile cushioning, a detail inspired by Michael's personal preference. FlightSpeed technology with full-length Zoom Air is low to the ground, delivering superior court feel and responsiveness, as well as lateral support. According to Jordan Senior Designer Tate Kuerbis, "We really wanted to focus on propulsion in the forefoot, so when you're coming down you're engaging the FlightSpeed with the Zoom Air bag."
In terms of style, the silhouette incorporates Jordan elements, including the original Air Jordan "Wings" logo and a subtle Nike Swoosh, not seen on a Jordan model since the original. It's juxtaposed alongside a large Jumpman logo, and its launch colorway features a classic black and red color palette that references the Air Jordan 1 "Banned."
Check out detailed looks in the gallery below, and expect the Air Jordan 31 "Banned" to hit stores and jordan.com on September 3rd.
