Last year, Kith celebrated its New York roots through a collaboration with New Era, presenting a new take the iconic New York Yankees 59FIFTY cap. Kith is following up that MLB-inspired effort with a new release, one dedicated to the interleague rivalry between the two Big Apple ball clubs, the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. The collection comprises six total styles (three for each team), with the first four paying homage to the 2000 World Series, aka the Subway Series, in which the Bronx Bombers clinched the title in five games. Two caps are rendered in traditional style, the other two reverse the colorways of either team, and all four are finished with a 2000 World Series patch.

The final two caps are limited to quantity of just 144 units for each team, with the Mets cap denoting the 30th anniversary of the 1986 World Series, twinned with a Yankees cap celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 1996 World Series. Both are adorned with a Kith-branded rose-gold metal plate on the front, and each team's World Series patch on the right. Each is packaged in a custom display case, and accompanied by game tickets to this year's Subway Series in August.

Both anniversary caps release on July 29th and will be sold in-store only. The Mets cap will be available for purchase at Kith Manhattan, the Yankees cap at Kith Brooklyn. Customers will actually pick up their caps at the Kith one-day pop shop at Citi Field on August 2nd and Yankees Stadium on August 3rd. Those are the dates, of course, for the game tickets that come with the caps. Additionally, both pop-ups will carry limited stock of the other four caps. Speaking of those 2000 World Series caps, they'll officially release on Saturday, July 30th, at Kith Manhattan, Kith Brooklyn, and

Check out the lookbook for the Subway Series collection in the gallery below, with the caps modeled by Mets ace Jacob deGrom and Yankees set-up man Dellin Betances. The hurlers were captured at their respective ballparks by 13th.
