It's not the most popular shoe in the Air Jordan canon, but the 7th installment is probably the shoe that Michael Jordan wore at the peak of his powers. During the year of its launch -- 1992 -- MJ captured his second ring, won his third MVP award, and took home a second Olympic gold medal. Tinker Hatfield developed a new colorway for his design in honor of the Barcelona games, which featured a patriotic color palette to complement the shoe's unique geometric patterns (inspired by a poster for the long-running Afropop Worldwide radio show). Tinker actually came up with two colorways, one that was more white based, the other more contrasted, and it was the former that made it onto the court and store shelves. The alternate, relegated to the archives, is finally releasing, more than two decades later. Purchase yours on August 6th at 10 am EDT through Nike's SNKRS.
