Originally intended as an exclusive at theaters screening Suicide Squad, the teaser for Christopher Nolan's new World War II film Dunkirk has surfaced online. (Exclusivity in the internet age is an almost laughable proposition, but the move could also be a reaction to Suicide Squad's dismal reviews, and the film's potentially diminishing box office returns.) Written and directed by Nolan, Dunkirk is the filmmaker's highly anticipated follow up to 2014's Interstellar. The WWII drama centers around the 1940 evacuation of the French city of Dunkirk and stars Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, and Cillian Murphy. It hits theaters in July of 2017.
Warner Bros.' other hotly anticipated cinematic release for 2017 has to be Justice League, the Comic-Con trailer for which can be seen here.
