The Apple iPhone 7 May Have a Pressure-Sensitive Home Button

The latest rumor from the tech front lines

The Apple iPhone 7 will launch next month, and while the design is said to be mostly similar to the present iPhone 6S models, there have been rumors floating around for a while now indicating a handful of moderately significant alterations: a dual-camera system on the 7 Plus, redesigned antenna lines, and the removal of the headphone jack. Bloomberg News is now reporting that the next iPhone will also sport a pressure-sensitive home button. This change has similarly been circulating online the past few months, but Bloomberg's Mark Gurman adds a few details, noting that the button "provides feedback to the user via a vibrating haptic sensation" instead of a physical click, not unlike the trackpadson the latest MacBooks. Stay tuned.
