GoPro is set to launch the Omni, a 360-degree virtual reality camera intended for pros, as indicated by the hefty $5,000 price tag. The rig comprises six GoPro Hero 4 Black cameras, a remote control, extra battery power and a license to use its software. The latter comes from GoPro's April acquisition of France-based Kolor, which automatically stitches the six shots from the different cameras into one. The rig is also available without the cameras, accessories or software license, for a much more economical $1,500. Pre-order yours now from gopro.com, and expect an August 17th delivery date.
