Last seen in Washington D.C. in the summer of 2015, "The Beach" is back, this time in Tampa Bay, Florida. The interactive design installation from Brooklyn's Snarkitecture is located inside Amalie Arena, home of Tampa's NHL franchise, the Tampa Bay Lightning. This year's version is nearly twice as big as the original, with the 15,000 sq ft space filled to capacity with 1.2 million white balls that are both recyclable and anti-microbial. Lining the perimeter are scaffolding, wall panels and perforated mesh, while an array of beach chairs and umbrellas evoke the feel of a traditional boardwalk.
