New Balance has teamed up with American-made outfitters Ball and Buck to put a heritage spin on the 585. The resulting "Sporting Gentleman" edition features a combination of handsome earth tones, accented with the traditional plaids of heritage hunting estates. The shoe is crafted in New Balance's Skowhegan, ME, manufacturing facility, using premium materials and traditional shoemaking techniques. Details include tan leather on the "N" logo, tongue and collar strap; duck canvas throughout the underlays and insert label; plaid canvas on the vamp and collar; and a camo pattern underneath the gum rubber outsole. Retailing for $238, the kicks launch August 27th, in-store at Ball and Buck's Newbury Street location in Boston and online at ballandbuck.com. A global release date follows on September 17th.
