Logan represents Hugh Jackman's swan song as the beloved X-Man known as Wolverine, and the first trailer for the film is unlike anything we've ever seen in the Marvel cinematic universe. Set to Johnny Cash's version of the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt," the clip seems to take place at a time in the future when mutantkind has been largely eradicated. Patrick Stewart's Professor Xavier is still around, but like Logan, his powers seem to be greatly diminished. There's also a mysterious young girl, whose care and protection is entrusted to Logan. The character is rumored to be X-23, the "female Wolverine," something that's hinted at when Professor X tells Logan, "She's like you, very much like you."

Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
