New Balance has updated its classic 1982 hiking boot, the HL710 Rainier, which combined performance running footwear with a lightweight hiker, resulting in a silhouette able to withstand tough terrain while also wearing well on the street. The new Rainier Remastered keeps its original shape, with a full grain leather and ballistic nylon upper, pigskin lining and Vibram outsole. Revised details include full Gore-Tex waterproof protection, as well as the "N" logo in lieu of the 1980s "Flying NB" logo. The Rainier Remastered retails for $179.95 and launches November 1st at newbalance.com.
