Back In 2013, Nike collaborated with Roundel on special editions of the Air Max 1 and Air Max 90, both finished in a woven jacquard pattern inspired by the upholster found on the trains of London's Underground transit system. This season finds the second iteration of the collaboration set to launch, with a project honoring the centennial of Transport for London (TFL)'s typographic identity, the Johnston font. It adorns the upcoming NikeLab Zoom Spiridon in a repeat pattern, engineered to cover each shoe equally. Details include a transparent monofilament mesh covering the print on the shoe's vamp, along with an iridescent synthetic leather Swoosh and a fully reflective mudguard with 3M taping. The Roundel x NikeLab Zoom Spiridon launches November 9 at an exclusive pop-up in Charing Cross station London, and on November 10 in Tokyo. Select global retailers will release just the white colorway on November 17.
