Nike introduces 12 Soles, a footwear collection that celebrates the brand's impact on the game of basketball through a number of silhouettes that define the past, present and future of the sport. Some models are inextricably linked to specific moments -- including tournament runs, championship drives and star turns on the silver screen -- while others open a window to the future, with modern athletes introducing what will become street style icons.

Representing Nike's basketball heritage are the Nike Air Force 1 (through its latest iterations, the SF AF-1 and AF-1 Upstep Warrior), Nike Air Max 2 Uptempo, Nike Uptempo, Nike Uptempo 97 and Nike Air Foamposite Pro. They're joined by modern innovations in the form of the Nike Kobe XI Elite Low, Nike Zoom KD 9, Nike Kyrie 2 and Air Jordan XXXI. There are also three Jordan icons -- the Air Jordan IX Retro, Air Jordan XI Retro and Air Jordan XVI Retro. -- and a mystery surprise.

The 12 Soles collection will be on display this week at the new Nike Soho store, which opens on November 11. The shoes will be available beginning December 3 on Nike+ SNKRS, nike.com and through select retailers.
