Last night, Hideo Kojima took the stage at The 2016 Game Awards to accept the Industry Icon Award, whereupon he unveiled the mysterious new trailer for Death Stranding, his first game post-Konami. Released under his new Kojima Productions studio, Death Stranding is also the first title from the Metal Gear Solid creator since Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The five-minute trailer begins with a shot of Guillermo del Toro, who you'll recall had been collaborating with Kojima and actor Norman Reedus (who also appears in Death Stranding) on the since canceled Silent Hills project. Eventually, del Toro is seen to be carrying an especially strange package, something that would appear to be of interest to a very sinister Mads Mikkelsen, who's leading a squadron of undead soldiers. Enjoy the trailer below.
