All eyes are on New Orleans for the NBA All-Star Weekend, and Sneaker Politics and Reebok are capitalizing on the festivities with the launch of a special-edition Workout Low CN, made in collaboration with local skate shop Humidity. The retro model features a unique cracked leather upper in White, accented a gum rubber outsole and hits of woodland camo on the lining, laces and collar trim. Rounding out the details are the New Orleans area code inscribed on the inner tongue and "Soldier" debossed on the heel of the left shoe. The Workout sneaker has a special history in New Orleans. Mannie Fresh and Juvenile were big fans of the style coming up, nicknaming them “soldiers,” which inspired Reebok to bring down custom Workouts in 1999 for Juvenile’s music video for “I Got That Fire,” creating a legion of fans in the Big Easy for this particular style..The kicks were released Friday, February 17th, at a special launch event at Sneaker Politics' Chartres Street location, with a special in-store performance by Mannie Fresh and Juvenile.
